I’ve got a pile of topsoil behind my driveway that I got last summer to fill in some holes. I used about half of it, then it got a little overgrown with plants. I noticed the other day that all the plants and weeds had been removed from the pile and it looked a little smaller. My wife had used some of the dirt earlier, so I figured that she had done a little cleanup.
So yesterday, my wife commented on the good job I did uncovering the dirt pile. I said “I thought you did that.” Apparently, someone decided to steal some of my dirt. I don’t know why. Now I’m trying to think of a good trap to set if they come back. I guess I could plant some fake human bones in there.

A pile of cat shit 2 inches under the surface will stop them

Perhaps, in a flashback to our youth, you mindlessly moved the dirt around various places in your yard with a shovel. I often move wood piles around my house while having similar flashbacks and I don’t even have a fireplace. Do you ever think you see a portly bald dude with a Budweiser in his hand who claims to be a “supervisor,” only he really isn’t there? And, when you think you see him, do you curl up in a fetal position for hours?
