The Weekly Standards Returns

The Weekly Standards has returned, with a feature article on the transformation of AT&T’s website from markup mess to standards compliance. Since that’s the site I work on, I feel pretty good about it all. This project is definitely a high point for me: after nearly 10 years of working on the site, it feels very good to have a design that’s easier to maintain.

Joe D’Andrea’s got his thoughts on it posted, as well. Joe did a yeoman’s job on the article, compiling the information and rewriting the half-thoughts we came up with. Joe also is the prime mover of the att.com project and is just great to work with. I also have to thank Rebecca Taylor, my project manager on the job (who also did a large amount of documentation of the design as well as being a pretty decent sanity check on our more oddball ideas).

A big thanks, too, to James Archer and Forty Media for letting us tell our story.
