I always celebrate Easter by eating jelly beans and watching zombie movies: puts me in that “dead rising from the grave” mood.
- Night of the Living Dead: The classic!
- Dawn of the Dead: The classic or the remake
- Bad Taste: See what Peter Jackson did before the Lord of the Rings. Hint: Alien Zombies!
- Zombi 2: a great Lucio Fulci film.
- 28 Days Later: good, even though the title makes it sound like a sequel to a Sandra Bullock movie…
- Re-Animator: Lovecraft inspired fun, with a particularly amusing scene. You’ll know it when you see it.
Here’s a good list of other Zombie movies to watch; I haven’t seen all the films on this list, but there will be other Easter Sundays…
Finally, if you are in the mood to watch a religious movie, I heartily recommend Godspell, though I suggest also watching some episodes of Alias so you can see what Victor Garber looks like now as well as then.
